Wow

Recently Overheard:

Some race horses staying in a stable. One of them starts to brag about his track record. "In the last 15 races, I've won 8 of them!"Then another horse says, "Well in the last 27 races, I've won 19!!""Oh that's good, but in the last 36 races, I've won 28!", says yet another, flicking his tail. At this point, they notice that a greyhound dog has been sitting there listening. "I don't mean to boast," says the greyhound, "but in my last 90 races, I've won 88 of them! "The horses are clearly amazed. "Wow!" says one, after a hushed silence. "A talking dog."

Britt is a beautiful grey. I don't see ugly written
anywhere on her. Lucky new owner!

Where is the picture of Slammers mother "TUF LADY"? I was her foster and remember her very fondly. Fred also wants to see his mother "LADY ANN" recognized. I saw Lady Ann at TRI-STATE, West Virginia and beleive her permanent home is in Maryland.

I do not want to forget the elegant, beautiful BRITT. I have had the pleasure of boarding this special girl and she is a true jewel. It is always a pleasure to see Britt arrive and "conduct her cooking classes". She was taught by a master.

TESS MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN. She was a bridgekid when I came into their lives, but her memory will always survive. Tess you departed the greyhound world too soon.

So this traveling salesman is walking down the main street of this small town, and on the porch in front of the general store he sees an old man and a dog, both with heads bent over a chess board. The dog looks intently at the pieces for a while, then moves his bishop with one paw. The salesman is astonished. "That's one smart dog!" he exclaims. "He ain't so smart," says the old man. "I just beat him three games out of five!"
